Ego Block Summary

SLI leads with Si — Senses: observation, material accuracy, bodily rhythm, and the precise reading of physical conditions. Te — Pragmatism serves as the Creative function, turning that observation into method, repair, craft, and practical improvement.

Valued Elements

Valued elements: Si ? Te ? Ne ? Fi

These are the Delta elements SLI finds most trustworthy: sensory accuracy, practical competence, possibility, and personal integrity.

Vulnerable Note

Fe — Emotions sits at position 4, the Vulnerable. Pressure for overt expressiveness, public enthusiasm, or emotional performance can feel intrusive here, especially when it disrupts calm attention.

Suggestive Note

Ne — Ideas sits at position 5, the Suggestive. SLI welcomes enlivening possibility, fresh angles, and a sense that the familiar world can open. This is what the IEE dual provides naturally.

Model L · Kimani White

The Sixteenfold Cross

Model-L specifies each of SLI's sixteen element positions to the sub-variant level. The four capacity groups — A, B, C, D — organise these positions by the type's psychological relationship with each.

A CAPACITY — Preeminent

SLI's most natural region: sensory observation, hands-on method, regulated force, and embodied structure oriented toward craft and accuracy.

A1 — Si(T.) — "Observation" — Base

SLI Base: Si(T.) Observation. Selective intake of external sensory data, attending to functional details in the physical field. This is the central point of the type's confidence.

A2 — Te(S.) — "Praxis" — Creative

SLI Creative: Te(S.) Praxis. Hands-on methods, practical experimentation, resources, and material workflow improvement. This is the tool the type uses to express and support the Base.

A3 — Se(T.) — "Actuation" — Ignoring

SLI Ignoring: Se(T.) Actuation. Regulatory force applied to shape the physical environment within concrete parameters. Capable but not treated as the main point.

A4 — Ti(S.) — "Habitus" — Demonstrative

SLI Demonstrative: Ti(S.) Habitus. Embodied forms, codified habits, and the tangible structure of subjects, groups, or systems. Strong and often automatic in the background.

B CAPACITY — Supported

Supported positions that add strategic time, detached reasoning, conceptual possibility, and structural articulation around SLI's practical perception.

B1 — Ni(T.) — "Apprehension" — Correspondent

SLI Correspondent: Ni(T.) Apprehension. Strategic and temporal understanding of how events are likely to unfold over time. Available as a conscious support, but less central than the A positions.

B2 — Te(N.) — "Reason" — Collaborative

SLI Collaborative: Te(N.) Reason. Fact propositions, informal logic, productive aims, and workable strategic formulations. Works as a deliberate auxiliary route.

B3 — Ne(T.) — "Ideation" — Compensatory

SLI Compensatory: Ne(T.) Ideation. Active conceptual generation, brainstorming, and manipulation of semantic possibilities. Helps cover practical or structural gaps when needed.

B4 — Ti(N.) — "Intellect" — Instrumental

SLI Instrumental: Ti(N.) Intellect. Linguistic framing, interpretive schema, and coherent articulation of concepts. Useful and deployable, especially in service of stronger aims.

C CAPACITY — Contrasting

Contrasting positions that bring bodily stimulus, expressive atmosphere, visceral drive, and concrete affinity into the profile.

C1 — Si(F.) — "Stimulation" — Subsidiary

SLI Subsidiary: Si(F.) Stimulation. Subjective bodily stimulus, vitality, comfort, and the felt charge of physical experience. A secondary shading of the profile rather than the lead voice.

C2 — Fe(S.) — "Affect" — Negligent

SLI Negligent: Fe(S.) Affect. Physiological mood, expressive atmosphere, aesthetic signals, and shared sensory feeling tone. Present but not normally prioritised.

C3 — Se(F.) — "Impetus" — Prompting

SLI Prompting: Se(F.) Impetus. Visceral mobilizing impulse, turning stored energy toward concrete aims and exertion. Can be activated by context or by other people.

C4 — Fi(S.) — "Animus" — Galvanizing

SLI Galvanizing: Fi(S.) Animus. Stable visceral attitudes of affinity or aversion toward people and concrete objects. A background primer that can energise the type indirectly.

D CAPACITY — Vulnerable

The lower-capacity region: reflective imagination, symbolic emotion, personal inspiration, and inner values as the field of need and support.

D1 — Ni(F.) — "Reverie" — Role

SLI Role: Ni(F.) Reverie. Inner scenarios, narrative significance, symbolic subtext, and reflective imagination around events. Performed consciously when the situation asks for it.

D2 — Fe(N.) — "Sentiment" — Vulnerable

SLI Vulnerable: Fe(N.) Sentiment. Inner opinions and passions conveyed through dramatic rhetoric, symbolism, and emotional meaning. A sensitive point where pressure can land hard.

D3 — Ne(F.) — "Inspiration" — Suggestive

SLI Suggestive: Ne(F.) Inspiration. Inner potentiality, spontaneous creative impulse, and imagined paths for growth or novelty. A receptive point: what the type most welcomes from others.

D4 — Fi(N.) — "Soul" — Mobilizing

SLI Mobilizing: Fi(N.) Soul. Inner values, ideals, convictions, and abstract notions of what is inherently worthwhile. A low-capacity but energising point that responds to encouragement.

The Type In Life

The Craftsman

Finn

Finn notices what other people walk past. The angle of the afternoon light through a particular window. The way the machine sounds different when the bearing needs replacing. The texture of a material that is close but not correct for the job. He does not call this sensitivity; he would call it accuracy. He works slowly only by the standards of people who are not watching what he is watching. He is a craftsman without the affectation — the quality is for the work's sake, not for display. He will not rush. He will not apologise for not rushing.

Mei

Mei knows her own body's rhythms with the precision of long observation. She trains in the morning because that is when her concentration is cleanest. She eats what she knows works. She is not precious about comfort — she simply attends to it rather than ignoring it. In her work she is exacting in a way that resists explanation: she can tell, from small signals, when something is right and when it is not quite right, and she does not confuse the two. The people who work alongside her either trust this or don't. She does not spend energy on the ones who don't.

Dual Relationship

SLI and IEE

SLI's dual is IEE — The Explorer. SLI's Suggestive is Ne(F.) — Inspiration: inner potentiality, spontaneous creative impulse, and imagined paths for growth. IEE leads with exactly this mode of imagination.

IEE's Suggestive is Si(T.) — Observation: selective intake of external sensory data and attention to functional detail. SLI leads with that mode effortlessly. The exchange gives SLI novelty and gives IEE grounding.

A Note on This Type

What Model L Adds

Model A identifies SLI as Si-leading with Te Creative. Model-L specifies that this is Si(T.) — Observation, the external and functional mode of sensation, supported by Te(S.) — Praxis.

This distinction matters when separating SLI from SEI. Both lead with Si in Model A terms, but SLI's Si(T.) is observational, material, and accuracy-oriented. SEI's Si(F.) is subjective, enlivening, and tied to comfort and felt vitality.

For SLI, Model-L shows why craft and perception are inseparable: the type notices the physical field precisely, then improves it through workable method.
