SEI leads with Si — Senses: bodily atmosphere, comfort, pacing, and the quality of immediate experience. Fe — Emotions serves as the Creative function, shaping that sensory field into warmth, welcome, and shared mood.

Type code: SEI
The Nurturer
Model A · WSS
SEI leads with Si — Senses: bodily atmosphere, comfort, pacing, and the quality of immediate experience. Fe — Emotions serves as the Creative function, shaping that sensory field into warmth, welcome, and shared mood.
Valued elements: Si · Fe · Ne · Ti
These are the Alpha elements SEI finds most natural and inviting: physical ease, expressive warmth, lively possibility, and clear structure.
Te — Pragmatism sits at position 4, the Vulnerable. Pressure for hard efficiency, impersonal metrics, or relentless productivity can land sharply here, especially when it overrides the felt quality of the situation.
Ne — Ideas sits at position 5, the Suggestive. SEI responds with curiosity and relief when others bring fresh possibilities, conceptual play, and a sense that life can open in unexpected directions. This is what the ILE dual provides naturally.
Model L · Kimani White
Model-L specifies each of SEI's sixteen element positions to the sub-variant level. The four capacity groups — A, B, C, D — organise these positions by the type's psychological relationship with each.
SEI’s most natural region: subjective bodily experience, expressive atmosphere, visceral impulse, and stable personal affinity operating with ease.
SEI Base: Si(F.) Stimulation. Subjective bodily stimulus, vitality, comfort, and the felt charge of physical experience. This is the central point of the type’s confidence.
SEI Creative: Fe(S.) Affect. Physiological mood, expressive atmosphere, aesthetic signals, and shared sensory feeling tone. This is the tool the type uses to express and support the Base.
SEI Ignoring: Se(F.) Impetus. Visceral mobilizing impulse, turning stored energy toward concrete aims and exertion. Capable but not treated as the main point.
SEI Demonstrative: Fi(S.) Animus. Stable visceral attitudes of affinity or aversion toward people and concrete objects. Strong and often automatic in the background.
Supported positions that add narrative imagination, symbolic emotion, personal inspiration, and inner values around SEI’s sensory-emotional core.
SEI Correspondent: Ni(F.) Reverie. Inner scenarios, narrative significance, symbolic subtext, and reflective imagination around events. Available as a conscious support, but less central than the A positions.
SEI Collaborative: Fe(N.) Sentiment. Inner opinions and passions conveyed through dramatic rhetoric, symbolism, and emotional meaning. Works as a deliberate auxiliary route.
SEI Compensatory: Ne(F.) Inspiration. Inner potentiality, spontaneous creative impulse, and imagined paths for growth or novelty. Helps cover practical or structural gaps when needed.
SEI Instrumental: Fi(N.) Soul. Inner values, ideals, convictions, and abstract notions of what is inherently worthwhile. Useful and deployable, especially in service of stronger aims.
Contrasting positions that translate comfort and atmosphere into observation, practical method, regulated force, and embodied structure.
SEI Subsidiary: Si(T.) Observation. Selective intake of external sensory data, attending to functional details in the physical field. A secondary shading of the profile rather than the lead voice.
SEI Negligent: Te(S.) Praxis. Hands-on methods, practical experimentation, resources, and material workflow improvement. Present but not normally prioritised.
SEI Prompting: Se(T.) Actuation. Regulatory force applied to shape the physical environment within concrete parameters. Can be activated by context or by other people.
SEI Galvanizing: Ti(S.) Habitus. Embodied forms, codified habits, and the tangible structure of subjects, groups, or systems. A background primer that can energise the type indirectly.
The lower-capacity region: strategic abstraction, impersonal reasoning, conceptual possibility, and detached structure as the field of need and growth.
SEI Role: Ni(T.) Apprehension. Strategic and temporal understanding of how events are likely to unfold over time. Performed consciously when the situation asks for it.
SEI Vulnerable: Te(N.) Reason. Fact propositions, informal logic, productive aims, and workable strategic formulations. A sensitive point where pressure can land hard.
SEI Suggestive: Ne(T.) Ideation. Active conceptual generation, brainstorming, and manipulation of semantic possibilities. A receptive point: what the type most welcomes from others.
SEI Mobilizing: Ti(N.) Intellect. Linguistic framing, interpretive schema, and coherent articulation of concepts. A low-capacity but energising point that responds to encouragement.
The Type In Life
Tomás knows exactly how long his coffee needs to steep and the difference it makes to get it right. His flat is arranged for comfort in a way that looks effortless but is not; he notices when something is off — a light too harsh, a chair at the wrong angle — and fixes it without announcing what he is doing. He moves through the day at a pace that other people find either calming or baffling. He talks easily, warmly, about small things. He is not avoiding large things. He is making the environment good before the large things arrive.
Mia brings food to things. Meetings, difficult conversations, afternoons when the energy in a room goes flat — she appears with something that smells right, and the temperature of the space changes. She doesn't orchestrate this; she just notices what is needed and supplies it. She is a generous host in the way that means something: she pays attention. By evening she is tired in a way she does not always name, having absorbed the physical texture of other people's days. She makes a bath, puts something gentle on, and lets the day drain away.
Dual Relationship
SEI’s dual is ILE — The Inventor. SEI’s Suggestive is Ne(T.) — Ideation: active conceptual generation, brainstorming, and the opening of semantic possibilities. ILE leads with exactly this mode of imagination.
ILE’s Suggestive is Si(F.) — Stimulation: subjective bodily comfort, vitality, and felt physical ease. SEI leads with that mode effortlessly. The exchange is gentle but structurally exact: one opens possibilities, the other makes the world livable enough to explore them.
A Note on This Type
Model A identifies SEI as Si-leading with Fe Creative. Model-L specifies that this is Si(F.) — Stimulation, the involved mode of sensation concerned with bodily vitality, comfort, and felt physical experience, supported by Fe(S.) — Affect.
This distinguishes SEI from SLI. Both lead with Si in Model A terms, but SEI’s Si(F.) is subjective and enlivening, tied to comfort, mood, and the felt charge of experience. SLI’s Si(T.) is observational and functional, attending to external sensory detail and material accuracy.
For SEI, Model-L clarifies why warmth and comfort are not decorative additions. They are the central mode of perception and the medium through which the type shapes its surroundings.
