Two engines in mesh
Pick a partner type to see where each of your type's aspects lands in the partner's engine. The strokes give the relation's family: every stroke of one engine fires into a single stroke of the other. The gears decide which of a pair of relations it is: an aspect that stays on the same gear (mental to mental, vital to vital) gives one relation, and one that crosses gears gives the other. Together they give all sixteen.
